Judicial clerkships are incredibly valuable professional experiences, and we want to make you aware of a judicial clerkship opportunity for 3Ls starting fall 2023 with Robert Jones, Jr, United States Magistrate Judge in the Eastern District.  The job posting can be found on Symplicity (#17532) and we encourage interested students to apply. Judge Jones is one of the federal judges in NC who accepts applications outside of OSCAR. The posting specifies how to apply, but his office reached out to both encourage applications from Campbell students and note that letters of reference can be emailed directly to the email address for human resources. Please let me know if you have any questions. I am happy to talk with you or connect you with a faculty member who served as a judicial clerk if you would like to ask general questions about their experience.

I also want to encourage you to mark your calendars for the special program the Judicial Clerkship Taskforce and Career Center are planning for October 26 at noon in the courtroom. The following distinguished panel of judges will attend to discuss their perspective on clerkships and the professional value of a judicial clerkship to your career.
