Applications are now being accepted for the 2026 North Carolina Legal Interview Program (NCLIP). NCLIP is a statewide, virtual interview program that allows students to connect directly with employers across North Carolina. To participate, you must register in advance by clicking HERE. Once you have completed registration, you will receive detailed instructions on how to submit applications and view your interview selections. Additional details are below.

Program Overview

  *   Format: All interviews are virtual
  *   Employers: Small and mid-sized firms, public sector employers, and corporate in-house legal departments
  *   Positions: Summer and entry-level roles

Important Dates

  *   Apply: January 9 (12:01 a.m.) - January 14 (11:59 p.m.)
  *   Student Interview Invitation Status available (accept/decline period begins*): January 26 at 9:00 a.m.
  *   Interviews: February 6-7 (Virtual)

*Student withdrawal is only allowed when a student has accepted another position. Submitting an application indicates you are available to interview on the selected date.



Application Notes

  *   NCLIP is one session only (unlike OCI).
  *   When you apply during the window does not affect interview selection.
  *   Submit only the documents requested by each employer (e.g., resume, cover letter, transcript, writing sample, references).
  *   Apply as broadly as possible to increase interview opportunities.

Some employers interview the same class year on both February 6 and 7 - please apply only for the date you are available.
