[Law28] UNC Kilpatrick Townsend 1L Mock Trial Competition-Jan. 29-31, 2026

Good afternoon,

The dates for the UNC Kilpatrick Townsend 1L Mock Trial Competition have been set for Friday, January 29 through Sunday, January 31, 2026, at UNC Law at Chapel Hill.

All teams will participate in the first three rounds (two on Friday afternoon/evening, one on Saturday morning), and the top eight, four, and two teams will be invited to participate in the last three rounds.

The case materials will be released on January 1, 2026.

To gauge our level of turnout, if you already have a team, please send me an email (one per team) with the names, email addresses, and phone numbers of your team members as well as who will act as the team contact.  The team contact is the team member who will receive communications from UNC and will then disseminate the information to the other team members.

If you want to participate but have not yet organized a team of 4-6 students, you still have time.  Also, there is a sign-up sheet in the Advocacy Suite for students that want to be on a team but have not yet found teammates.
