[Law28] JOB BANK is OPEN - and other important updates/reminders for the week

Good morning,

A few important updates for this week.

First, we have now turned on the job bank for all students who have met with a counselor, had their legal resume reviewed and approved, and uploaded it to Symplicity.

We know some of you are still working on revisions to your resume, and that is fine. We will be approving student access to the job bank on a rolling basis going forward. Although it is a busy time, we encourage you to go ahead and prioritize finalizing your resume in the next week or two so you have one less thing to worry about as you round the corner toward final exams. If you have not yet met with our office and need to schedule an appointment, or if you have had a meeting and had your resume approved but are still unable to access the job bank, please reach out to your counselor.

To access the job bank once your legal resume is approved, log in to your Symplicity account and click the job postings tab on the left of your screen. If you have any difficulty accessing the tab, please email Martin Jones at mjones at campbell.edu<mailto:mjones at campbell.edu>.

Second, we are hosting an informal conversation with the counselors this Friday, November 7 at noon in room 309 for all 1Ls who are considering big law for their 1L or 2L summer. For purposes of this meeting, we are referring to the type of large law firms listed HERE<https://docs.google.com/document/d/1vCvYnCsSHRyBOUUyCr_U1u6lgcMT9gWVXtLro2OstSE/edit?tab=t.0> and referenced in the Career Advisor for the last few weeks. On Friday, we will answer your questions, speak to what we know about 1L and 2L big law firm recruiting timelines for the coming year, and have 2 students on hand to share their experiences going through the 1L recruiting process and working in a big law firm as a summer associate.

Finally, we are in the final stages of preparation for Career Night and we can't wait to welcome you to the event on Monday evening! Although we are now on a waitlist, we are trying to accommodate as many students as possible who wish to attend, so you can still click HERE<https://cuweb.wufoo.com/forms/p1sn1mpw0yxcfla/> to join the waitlist. You will be notified as soon as possible if we are able to move you off the waitlist. If you are registered, you should have received an email from me confirming registration and providing an overview of the evening. If you have registered for Career Night but did not receive that email, please reach out to Martin Jones mjones at campbell.edu<mailto:mjones at campbell.edu>. If you are registered, you will receive another email later this week with details about where to go, when to arrive, etc. Note that we have had another large firm, Michael Best, sign up to attend. McAngus Goudelock and Courie also had a change in one of their attorney representatives. The google form listing all participating employers has been updated to reflect those changes.
