Good afternoon,

We hope you are all doing well and the semester is going smoothly. There are a few quick things we would like to highlight as the fall gets in full swing.

Summer 2026 employment form
First, as we mentioned at the 2L/3L orientation earlier this semester, we need all students to complete the short wufoo form letting us know where you worked this summer and how you found your job. This important data allows us to stay apprised of recruiting trends and helps us best serve current and future students. Please CLICK HERE<https://cuweb.wufoo.com/forms/s105uyyh1i5ez6n/> only if you have not already completed the form. Thank you!

Judicial Clerkships
If you have secured a post graduate judicial clerkship and have not already been in communication with our office, please reply to this email and let me know. Our office and the judicial clerkship committee are tracking that information and we want to ensure we are not missing anyone from our list.

If you are a 2L hoping to pursue a post graduate clerkship, now is the time to start preparing. If you are not sure where to begin, you can start by scheduling an appointment with our office to get an overview of the process and timelines. If you are interested in a federal clerkship, we will introduce you to OSCAR, the platform used by many federal judges for recruiting clerks. We would be delighted to meet with you. You can also review the Judicial Clerkship Handbook on the Law Careers Blackboard page for an overview. Additionally, if you are interested in learning more about clerkships, we strongly encourage you to attend the judicial clerkship panel coming up on October 2d in the Boyce Courtroom, where NC Supreme Court Justice Allison Riggs, federal magistrate just Kimberly Swank, and federal bankruptcy judge Pamela McAfee will join us to discuss the role of clerks in their chambers. Professor Sawchak will moderate.

Career Night
Carer Night is coming up on November 10th from 5:30-7:30 at Union Station. Registration for 1Ls is underway, and while they receive priority for registration, it will open for 2Ls and 3Ls two weeks from today on October 6th. That morning, the link will be in the Career Advisor newsletter that comes out at 8:00 am from the lawcareers email address. We anticipate reaching capacity for the event, so if you would like to attend you will want to be sure and register promptly on October 6th when registration opens for your class. We will maintain a waiting list once we reach capacity.

Job Search Support
If you need assistance with your summer 2026 or post graduate job search, please feel free to reach out to our office or check our Symplicity calendars to schedule an appointment. We are happy to meet with you to discuss strategy, review materials, or help you polish interview skills with mock interviews.

Meet Up Monday (today!)
Finally, we will be tabling in the Commons today (with donuts!) for Meet up Monday and would love to see you! Please drop by to say hello and ask any question you may have between 12:00-1:00pm today.

In the meantime, have a great day!

Warm regards,
