[Law26] REMINDER: Fall OCI Phase 1 Bidding Deadline – Tomorrow at Noon

Good afternoon,

This is a friendly reminder that the bidding deadline for Fall OCI Phase 1 is tomorrow, May 21 at noon. Now that updated transcripts and class rankings have been released, if you’d like to update your application materials, please follow these steps:

  1.  Delete any existing bids that will require updated documents
  2.  Upload your new resume and/or transcript
  3.  Resubmit application materials for any previously deleted bids

Important: Please note that the timing of your application does not get shown to employers so there is no penalty for deleting and resubmitting as long as it is before noon on Wednesday.

Good afternoon,

The bidding/application period for Fall OCI Phase 1 is now open! The deadline to submit bids/applications is Wednesday, May 21 at 12:00 pm.  Please see below for additional details.

2025 Fall OCI Phase 1

  *   Bidding Period for Fall OCI Phase 1: May 16 - 21
  *   Interview Scheduling: If you are selected for an interview, you will receive an email from the Career Center by May 28 and have until noon on May 30 to select your interview time.
  *   Fall OCI Phase 1 Interviews [fully virtual]: June 9 – 12

Important Reminder:
Even if you have already applied to any of the participating employers through their website or another program (such as SELSC), you must still submit your application through OCI in order to be considered for interviews through our process.

Bidding/Application Brief Overview
Here is a brief overview of the bidding process:

  *   Bidding opens Fridays at 12:00 pm and closes on Wednesdays at 12:00 pm.
  *   You will apply for OCIs through Symplicity: https://law-campbell-csm.symplicity.com/students
  *   Visit the Law Careers Page in Blackboard and look in the folder on How to Apply for Internships & Externships for a series of short "How to Videos" including this one<https://blackboard.campbell.edu/ultra/organizations/_51096_1/outline/edit/document/_5829823_1?courseId=_51096_1&view=content> on using Symplicity to bid/apply for OCIs. For additional information, see the attached document entitled “Step-By- Step Application Instructions
  *   When you bid during the application window does not affect your chances at securing an interview.
  *   You may submit applications at any point during the application window. That said, do not wait until 11:57 am on Wednesday to submit bids as Symplicity can take a while to process your submission. If a bid is not submitted by the deadline, then it will not be accepted.
  *   Generally speaking, you should submit the documents requested, and only those requested, by the employer. Each employer will require one or more of the following documents:

  *   Resume
  *   Cover letter
  *   Transcript
  *   Writing Sample
  *   Reference List

  *   If you realize you submitted the wrong document to a particular employer (example: a cover letter for Employer 1 was submitted to Employer 3) you must delete the bid and re-bid. This must be done prior to the end of bidding.
  *   Apply as broadly as possible regarding location, practice area, and practice setting. This will increase your chances of being selected for an interview.

Important OCI Policy Reminder When Bidding

  *   The Career Center staff will be spot checking application materials submitted during OCIs and Resume Collects. Attention to detail is extremely important. Allow plenty of time to research employers, edit formatting and content, and proofread each individual application to ensure it is polished, professional and complete.
  *   Application materials that are incomplete, have errors, are incorrectly formatted or otherwise do not appear polished and professional will be withdrawn and will not be submitted to employers. If we withdraw your application materials, you will be notified. If time allows, you can correct the errors and re-submit your materials.
  *   Please read the attached policies document for more information.
