[Law26] Practical Skills for Lawyers Registration Information

Students,

If you are thinking about registering for the fall Practical Skills for Lawyers course, please read the information in this email. The catalog listing is confusing because the credits change based upon the semester.

The fall semester course is offered as 2 credits. This course runs the full semester (14 weeks). The fall course is more in depth than the spring course.

The spring class is taught on a compressed schedule and begins the second half of the semester (late February) for seven weeks for 1 credit. I am not able to grade all of the papers in this course until the February Bar exam concludes. The compressed schedule allows for me to offer the course in spring semester.
The course is listed as asynchronous on the schedule. It does not have a set class time BUT please note that assignments are posted on Mondays and due back by the end of the day on Monday. Please make sure you have a two -three hour block of time available to dedicate to writing the responses.
Due to the way the course is listed you may encounter a conflict during registration. If you experience this issue then please register for the other course that you need to take and then email me that you need to be registered for PSL. I will take care of it on my end. As this is a bar preparation course, I do try and accommodate all the students who wish to take the course. If the class is full please place your name on the waitlist and I will work with the registrar to accommodate everyone who wishes to take the course.
