The 2026 NC Bar Exam Prep Course Grant Application is now open! Applications are due by Monday, January 12, 2026. Please help spread the word. We expect that information about the program will be pushed out via NCBA and NCBF social media channels this week – please share to your channels!

NC Bar Exam Prep Course Grant (July 2026 Bar Exam)
The NC Bar Foundation maintains a purpose-restricted fund within its Endowment that provides support for financially needy NC law school students taking the NC bar exam. Grant funding is available to help defer the costs of enrolling in a bar exam prep course for NC law school graduates registered for the July 2026 North Carolina Bar Exam.
The NCBF will award ten $1000 grants to qualifying applicants selected by the NCBA Young Lawyers Division’s Law School Division leadership. The application is open now and due by Monday, January 12, 2026. Questions? Email Foundation at ncbar.org<mailto:Foundation at ncbar.org>
Eligibility:
* 3L law school students graduating from a North Carolina law school
* completed application for the July 2026 NC Bar Exam
* demonstration of financial need
* completed Bar Exam Prep Course Grant Application (due by 1/12/2026)
