[Law26] 2024 ABA Negotiations Competition Tryouts- Application Deadline September 30

Dear Campbell Law 3L and 2L Students,

The ABA Law Student Division Negotiation Competition provides a means for law students to practice and improve their negotiating skills. The competition simulates legal negotiations in which law students, acting as lawyers, negotiate a series of legal problems. The simulations consist of a common set of facts known by all participants and confidential information known only to the participants representing a particular side. All of the simulations deal with the same general topic, but the negotiation situation varies with each round and level of the competition.

Campbell will host tryouts for the Negotiation Team on Thursday, Oct. 3, and Monday, Oct. 7.  If you are interested in joining the team, fill out the attached application, and submit it with your resume, class schedule, and selection of a tryout time slot.

Be sure to pick TWO of the following time slots:

  *   Thursday, October 3, 2P-4P
  *   Thursday, October 3, 4P-6P
  *   Monday, October 7, 5:30P-7:30P

To prepare for the tryouts, see the attached general facts for the tryout below. You will be given your confidential facts and tryout timeslot and location on Tuesday, October 1. Each tryout will last 20-30 minutes. If you were on the team in the past, you will need to reapply and tryout again.
