Dear second semester(!) students,

Greetings!  I hope that each one of you has been relaxing over this break and that you are looking forward to returning to school.  LRW II classes begin Tuesday, January 9th, and Dr. Newsome is in the process of registering you into your sections.  I am writing with the first of what will be a few messages to get you ready for the beginning of the semester.

During your first week of LRW II, you will receive your first open-universe research assignment.  To help you develop effective legal research skills, Campbell’s Lexis representative will train you in searching for statutes on the Lexis platform.  Ms. Bridwell’s training will complement the book-based instruction you will receive on locating and updating statutes.  Attendance is mandatory.  To ensure that everyone has a seat, I ask that you attend the session I designate for you here:

Tuesday, January 9th, 4:15-5:15, Room 313:
Section 1, A-J
Section 2

Wednesday, January 10th, 2:45-3:45, Room 313:
Section 1, K-Z
Section 3
