Good afternoon,
It was a pleasure meeting you last Friday and sharing with you the services and materials the library provides for you in support of your studies this year. As promised, I am providing you with the authorization information you will need to sign up for the databases we mentioned in the library orientation.
Below is the information you will need to set up your accounts with Westlaw, LexisNexis, Bloomberg Law, and CALI. Follow the instructions on each platform and always use your Campbell email address because that is what connects you with the Law School. If you have any questions, contact me or one of the reference librarians. A note to the wise, make sure you keep a record of your username and password for each platform.
Westlaw
1. You will receive an email from lawschool at thomsonreuters.com<mailto:lawschool at thomsonreuters.com> within the next twenty-four hours.
2. If for some reason you don't receive the email, check your spam folder.
3. The email will contain your authorization code and instructions for setting up your account.
4. Make sure you use your Campbell email address when setting up your account.
LexisNexis
1. Go to lexisnexis.com/lawschool.
2. Click on "Register for Lexis+".
3. Enter your name, email (Campbell email address), and the registration code.
4. The registration code is: be58ktp.
5. Complete the registration.
6. To access Lexis, go to lexisnexis.com/lawschool.
Bloomberg Law
1. Visit the Bloomberg Law homepage: www.bloomberglaw.com<http://www.bloomberglaw.com> .
2. Select the option on the right-hand side of the screen for Academic Registration.
3. Fill out the registration form. You do not have to have a registration code to complete the form.
4. Make sure to use your Campbell email address because this identifies you as a Campbell Law Student and your email address will be your username.
5. Continue to complete the registration process.
6. Bloomberg will verify your account by email within 24 hours.
CALI
1. CALI gives you access to tutorials that correspond with your first-year courses. In addition, several of your professors will require you to use specific tutorials over the course of the semester.
2. Go to www.cali.org/register<http://www.cali.org/register>.
3. Enter the authorization code.
4. The authorization code is CAMPBLstu30 (code is case sensitive).
5. Complete the form (use your Campbell email address).
6. Create your account.
Best of luck to each of you in your first year of law school!
