Since 1989, the Wake County Bar Association Foundation has awarded a Memorial Fund Scholarship to qualified students who have connections to Wake County and are attending law school in North Carolina.  Last year, two deserving students each received a scholarship in the amount of $5,000. The Wake County Bar Association's Endowment Award Committee is looking to our law school for applicants.   The applications are open to any student who would like to apply for the 2023 Memorial Fund Scholarship.

To qualify for the scholarship, the law student must have a connection to Wake County (and no, the WCBAF provides no additional information regarding what constitutes "a connection to Wake County").    Rising second- and third-year law students will be considered.  Applications should include detailed information concerning grades, accomplishments and financial need as the Endowment Committee will look at these important attributes, among others, when selecting the recipients.

Students should electronically submit completed applications by May 5, 2023, to Whitney at wakecountybar.org<mailto:Whitney at wakecountybar.org> .

Applications submitted to the Wake County Bar should be complete (including an official transcript and all requested financial information) and very neat and professional in appearance.  You certainly want to put your best foot forward.
