[Law25] Student Volunteers for Client Counseling Competition

Greetings First Year Law Students!



On behalf of the Old Kivett Advocacy Council, we cordially invite all 1L’s
to sign up for the 2022 Richard T. Bowser Client Counseling Competition as
Student Volunteers. The competition will take place on October 20-22. The
competition’s rounds will take place during the following times:

   -

   Thursday October 20, 2022 6:30-7:30
   -

   Friday October 21, 2022 5:30-6:30
   -

   Friday October 21, 2022 7:00-8:00
   -

   Saturday October 22, 2022 12:00-1:00
   -

   Saturday October 22, 2022 1:30-2:30



The Client Counseling Competition will be held in person.



The Client Counseling Competition addresses fundamental skills necessary
for all successful attorneys, namely the ability to interview, counsel, and
support a client through their legal issues.  The ability to relate to
clients is an underrated and underappreciated component of Trial Advocacy.

Volunteering for these competitions will provide you with a front row seat
on how Client Counseling works and allow you to be involved with the
operation of the competition.
