[Law24] Swearing In Ceremony

New attorneys,

Campbell is delighted to host a swearing in ceremony for our new class of attorneys. The 2024 ceremony will be held on October 11, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. in various courtrooms within the building. You are required to have a license in hand before you can participate. Licenses should be mailed and received the last week of September if you have satisfied all the requirements at this time. To participate you must have completed all requirements (bar, MPRE, character and fitness).

For those of you wishing to participate in the October 11, 2024, swearing in ceremony at the law school please read the following information:


  1.  Please send your name, sponsor's name, and number of guests to Kailey Alf (copied above). If you do not yet know who your sponsor is, we can update that later but need to know numbers for scheduling and space needs. Consider members of the 2023 Class as potential sponsors.
  2.  The ceremony will begin at 3:00 p.m. on October 11, 2024. You will need to arrive and check in at 2:30 p.m.
  3.  There will be a reception immediately following for you and your guests.
  4.  No matter what county you plan to practice in, you can swear in at the law school.
  5.  Your sponsor must be a North Carolina attorney with an active license. Candidates may share a sponsor.
  6.
You will need to complete the attached oath forms in duplicate and either deliver them to me at the school or mail the original signed oaths to Dean Hinds-Glick, 225 Hillsborough St., Suite 406D, Raleigh, 27603 no later than OCTOBER 05, 2024. Make sure to enter Wake for the County, and complete all lines except for the date at the bottom and judge's signature.
  7.
​There is no limit to the number of guests you bring, but please let us know so we plan space accordingly. Seating in the courtrooms is limited and we must account for guests.

If you need assistance finding a sponsor, please let me or Mrs. Chilausky know.

There will be more information as we get closer.


If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to ask. I will provide some more detailed information on what to bring, what to provide your sponsor, where to park, etc. before the event. This is our favorite event of the year. We love seeing you take this momentous step and celebrating the hard work you put in. We hope to see you and your loved ones in October.
