[Law24] IMPORTANT: FALL 2022 DEADLINES

Hello Everyone,

Welcome to Monday, August 15, 2022, the first day of the fall 2022 semester!  The below email has information about important upcoming deadlines relative to the Registrar's office:

SELF-REGISTRATION DEADLINE:
For 2Ls and 3Ls only, self-registration (the ability to self-add/drop) is open through 4PM EST on 8/19/22.  Of course, if your course syllabus has language that specifically or similarly states that you cannot drop the class after the first day, such instructions supersede the "drop/add" period.  Regarding waitlists, we will continue to monitor them through Thursday, 8/18/22 for potential movement into classes as seats open up.  If applicable, we will email you accordingly.

DEADLINES

  *   LAST DAY TO WITHDRAW FROM LAW SCHOOL & RECEIVE A REFUND:  Friday, August 19, 2022 at 4PM EST
  *   LAST DAY TO ADD A CLASS:  Friday, August 19, 2022 at 4:00PM EST
  *   LAST DAY TO DROP A CLASS:  Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at 4PM EST.
     *   Note:  You will need a signed DROP form from your professor after August 19 2022, which you can find on Podio<https://podio.com/campbelllaw/cu-allaccess/apps/students#12>.
  *   LAST DAY TO WITHDRAW FROM A COURSE WITHOUT TRIGGERING A FAILING GRADE:  Monday, October 24, 2022 at 4PM.

FORMS DEADLINE:
Friday, August 19th:  These are firm deadlines for fully signing and submitting any of the below forms.  All forms have been made Adobe PDF fillable and are available in the Students>Forms section of Podio<https://podio.com/campbelllaw/cu-allaccess/apps/students#12> to complete and submit electronically.  As an alternative, forms are also in physical format in the Registrar's suite on the fourth floor, across from the passenger elevators.

  *   Independent Study Form - Upon receipt of the form to lawregistrar at campbell.edu<mailto:lawregistrar at campbell.edu>, we will add the Independent Study course to your record; credit hours will be dependent upon the information submitted on the form.  This usually happens during the 2nd week of the semester, if not before.

  *   Descriptive Grading Form - Policy states that students may elect to take a maximum of two numerically graded elective classes for a descriptive grade.  You must obtain approval from the professor of the respective course by the above stated deadline.  Once you submit the form to lawregistrar at campbell.edu<mailto:lawregistrar at campbell.edu> or to the Registrar's office, your decision is irreversible.

  *   The following forms are due by Tuesday, September 6, 2022:
     *   Dual Degree Forms - IF you are pursuing a dual degree at Campbell University or NC State, you must complete one of these forms each semester.  It is part of the data that the law school and university must track and report to our accrediting bodies.  Please complete this form (found on Podio) by the deadline and submit to lawregistrar at campbell.edu<mailto:lawregistrar at campbell.edu>.

SUMMER 2022 TRANSCRIPTS:
All grades should be posted from the summer 2022 term.  Transcripts should be available in your student portal thereafter.  We do not run ranking processes after the summer term.
