CPHS Students,
Hispanic Heritage Month (Sept. 15–Oct. 15) is a time to honor the rich history, culture, and contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities.
[Antonia Novello - Wikipedia]
This year, we highlight Dr. Antonia Novello, the first woman and the first Latina to serve as U.S. Surgeon General. Her tireless work on child and maternal health and her advocacy for underserved communities paved the way for a more equitable healthcare system.
Dr. Novello’s story reminds us that leaders in health and medicine can change lives — and that the future of healthcare needs diverse voices like yours.
Let’s take this month to celebrate the achievements of Hispanic Americans who are shaping health and wellness for all.
All the Best,
Kenley E. Byrd
