Class of 2025,

Congratulations on reaching another milestone! It is time to start planning for your final capstone poster presentations!



We are excited this year to be offering a poster session for you to present your research to the Campbell community, as well as others.  Below you will find some very important information about the poster session.



The poster session will be held on July 12, 2025, from 10:00AM to 12:30PM in Smith Hall on the health sciences campus of Campbell University.  In Blackboard, in the DHSc 854 and DHSc 856 courses, you will find poster templates that may be used for guidance.  Posters for the event do not have to use the same color scheme or format.  Poster printing is free for all students through the School of Osteopathic Medicine and the Medical Library. Posters should be reviewed and approved by your advisor prior to printing.  Please allow at least two weeks between poster submission and poster printing/pick up.  For those of you that use this on-campus service and are located out of town, the posters will be delivered to Smith Hall prior to the 10am event start time on July 12.



This event has been specially designed as a way for you to share and present your research with those in attendance.  There will be special invited guests from the University, College, as well as your invited guests in attendance.  Students may bring a few family and friends with them to the event as well. This event is meant to celebrate the milestone of completing the capstone projects, while also recognizing your completion of the requirements for the DHSc program.  Posters created for this event can easily be used for future conferences or poster sessions.  For example, the NC Public Health Association has a fall meeting in which abstracts for posters are usually due in July.  This conference is just one example in which you may have the opportunity to present your work to another audience.



The schedule for July 12 (see attached) will encompass activities from 10:00AM to 12:30PM.  The poster presentations will take place from 10:00AM until 11:30AM and then will be followed by a keynote speaker for the event.  Following the keynote address, there will be time for hors d’oeuvres and socializing to wrap up the event around 12:30PM.
