We are excited to share that the Street Medicine Team is expanding and opening leadership opportunities for any first year medical student interested in serving our local community. As the program continues to develop, we are seeking motivated first-year students who are interested in stepping into leadership roles and helping shape the future of the team. While the current leadership team will be transitioning off campus next year due to clinical rotations, we will remain actively involved during this transition period. As some of you may have seen in the class of 2029 groupme there have been no applications for the Student Osteopathic Medical Association (SOMA) President and Vice President. These are some really important positions that offer a lot of opportunity, and I think are definitely worth applying for. Tori Kowalkowski, the current SOMA president, is attached to this email and would be excited to answer any questions you may have about SOMA. This link also takes you to their website if you're interested in learning more about what SOMA does. In order to provide some more time for interested applicants we will shift the SOMA president and vice president application to the Group 2 elections. This means that the Presence application is due on Wednesday January 7th at 11:59PM and letter of intent and video submission is due to me by Monday January 12th at 5PM. These are some awesome positions and I highly recommend applying! Reach out if I can help with anything else.
