Good morning!
I hope you all are doing well! I wanted to share an exciting opportunity being offered for next summer. In partnership with the Pediatric Trials Network, Duke University's Clinical Research Institute has opened its Summer Training in Academic Research Program (STAR) to medical students. Taking place in person from June 22 to July 24, 2026, the STAR Program allows students to gain hands-on clinical research experience as well as an opportunity to mentor high school and undergraduate students and shadow clinical staff at Duke.
The application portal is now open and closes November 15, 2025.
Information sessions are being hosted over zoom one week from today, October 16, as well as on October 28. Please see the following link to register for an information session as well as access more information regarding the opportunity offered, program requirements and the application process: https://dcri.org/education/dukes-star-program.
If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to me or Elizabeth Chan, who is a member of the CUSOM Class of 2027 and participated in this internship during her undergraduate program (e_chan1121 at email.campbell.edu<mailto:e_chan1121 at email.campbell.edu>).
Have a great day!
