Greetings, Class of 2029,

Take one day at a time.  Sometimes, one hour at a time when things get too overwhelming.

And, remember, when you have find yourself arguing back….“I can’t take a break—there’s no time…or I’ve got too much to do”…etc.  This is a RED FLAG—that you actually need to STOP and reset.  Now, sure, you probably can’t go on a retreat to the beach (oh wouldn’t that be nice😉)…but, the power of taking 15 minutes to reset can do wonders for your focus, mental wellbeing, and staving off burnout.  You can’t afford not to take those breaks—they are what will sustain you and support you in being able to conquer this thing called med school.

And may you have a rejuvenating and peaceful Thanksgiving!
