Greetings, Class of 2029,

If you are not where you want to be, regardless of the goal (e.g., could be improving your academic performance, could be just wanting to work in a bit more life and spend some time with your partner during the week while, etc.), do some self-reflection and reach out for support.

Self-reflect: What is working well? Celebrate those wins—and maybe think of how you can lean into that more. What did not work as well? Why? What are a couple tweaks you could make this next week to improve in that area? Remember, sometimes building progress as we go and making tweaks in incremental ways can be less overwhelming and generate more consistent and long-term results.

Support: There are TONS of resources and people who are eager to encourage and support you in your goals. We have an incredible team here—and you are always welcome 😊. So, reach out to your advisor, a peer mentor, your instructors, behavioral health, your friends, your cheerleader (yes, I still call my mom—my cheerleader—for advice and encouragement 😉), connect with your community. We all need lots of support in different areas of our lives. This only increases when we are taking on a colossal challenge…which you are!!!
