[Cusom29] CUSOM ACE: Reminders

Greetings, Class of 2029,

REMEMBER, today we are all meeting in Levine 201 for our Block 1 Advising Meeting at NOON (feel free to eat during this meeting).  All MS-1 students and their faculty advisors will be in attendance altogether.  This is a great opportunity to also connect with your advisor afterwards—and set up your 1-on-1 meeting (if you have not already done so).  Please be mindful and respectful of Dr. Fink’s lecture from 11:00-11:50 a.m. prior to this big group meeting and if you are not already present, wait quietly outside of the lecture hall until he is finished. DROP-IN Student Study Hours hosted by Peer Learning Partners will be held, Thursday, August 14 in the ACE Center (Levine Hall Room 106—near Java Café) as follows:

Upcoming Workshop:  Effective Test-taking Strategies & Managing Test Anxiety (optional attendance, students only)

  *   Friday, August 15, 11 a.m.-12 p.m. in Levine 201
  *   Erin Suwattana from Behavioral Health and Dr. Hinkelman will team up for this session on how to manage test anxiety and practical strategies for tackling higher level order of questions.

Also, if you missed our session, Moving from Lecture to Learning: Effective & Efficient Study Strategies, on Friday, August 1, the recording and slides are posted within the CUSOM ACE Blackboard Organization under “Resources for DO Students”.
