 Are there any specific requirements regarding <b><i>who</i></b> should write the letter?  Then, ask yourself who meets those criteria and who can best speak about those skills and experience they are seeking?  The longer and more meaningful interactions you
 have had with a letter writer, the more personal and likely stronger letter they can write.  However, never let this stop you from applying—if you need, for example, a current faculty member who has only known you for a few months, that’s okay.  Just ask—and
 provide that person with an updated CV.  <b>Tip:  I recommend having a short meeting with your letter writers to explain the opportunity and give them some insights into you and why you are well suited for the opportunity—this will help them write a stronger
