Dear CUSOM Students,
Good news — due to high interest, we’ve added a second event date!
You are invited to take part in a hands-on suturing research study aimed at improving training tools for early medical education. This study will compare two types of suturing pads to better understand their realism, durability, and educational value for novice learners.
Please note: Students who participated in the October 11, 2025 event day are not eligible to sign up for this additional date.
Eligibility:
First- and second-year CUSOM students
In good academic standing
Age 18 or older
**Must not have participated in the October 11, 2025 event day**
What to Expect:
Participation involves one study session (about 1.5–2 hours) on Saturday, October 25, 2025, in Classroom 200, Levine Hall. You’ll complete two supervised suturing tasks using different pads, with a short break in between, and answer brief surveys about your experience.
Why Participate:
This is a chance to gain extra suturing practice, help guide improvements in simulation training, and contribute to educational research — all in a low-pressure, supportive environment.
Participation is completely voluntary and confidential, and you may withdraw at any time without impact on your academic standing.
Please see the attached flyer for full details and to access the QR code to sign up for a session.
