Subject: NEW Campbell Street Medicine Team – Info Session

Hello Campbell Medical Students, We’re thrilled to announce the launch of Campbell University’s first Street Medicine Team — a new branch of the CUCCC created to provide compassionate medical care to people experiencing unsheltered homelessness right here in Harnett County. This is a collaboration between the CUCCC (Dr. Joe and Cynthia) and Mama Moses’ Underground Railroad, our team will take healthcare directly to our community members where they are, delivering care beyond clinic walls.

What is Street Medicine? As defined by the Street Medicine Institute, “Street Medicine includes health and social services developed specifically to address the unique needs and circumstances of the unsheltered homeless delivered directly to them in their own environment. The fundamental approach of Street Medicine is to engage people experiencing homelessness exactly where they are and on their own terms to maximally reduce or eliminate barriers to care access”.

To learn more about the mission, upcoming leadership and volunteer opportunities, and how you can stay in the loop, please join us for an information session:
🗓 Date: Wednesday, October 22nd
🕛 Time: 12:00 PM (approx. 20–30 minutes)
📍 Location: Room 400

We hope you’ll join us in this meaningful effort to expand access to care and live out the mission of service that defines Campbell Medicine. Thank you for your compassion and commitment to our community!

Thank you,

Judy Mourad, MS-2
