Become more involved in your local SHM chapter while sharing new discoveries with your hospital medicine community. Submit your research abstract for the chance to present at the SHM NC Triangle Chapter's Annual Scientific Abstract Competition, taking place on Tuesday, October 14th at 5:30 p.m. ET at the North Carolina Biotechnology Center in Durham, NC. All physicians, residents, and students are eligible to participate. Submission Deadline: August 15, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. ET

Announcement of Acceptance: September 15, 2025

One overall winner will receive automatic acceptance to the National Scientific Abstract Competition taking place at SHM's annual conference, Converge<https://go.hospitalmedicine.org/NDQ2LVNYWi0xOTEAAAGbwfUZB9KkHBrJa2zGV1X6F4B7rUWESrOirZ1OZ4hKjdgLO9QE5DwllqJzAF0qV-fGJK6r4x0=>, March 29th - April 1st, 2026, in Nashville, TN. The SHM NC Triangle Chapter will also be offering this winner a complimentary registration to attend the conference. In order to receive automatic acceptance to the National Scientific Abstract Competition, the winner will be required to submit their abstract to the National submission site by the Fall 2025 deadline.
