Good Morning Second Years!
I am the new President of the "Campbell Healer Collaborative" that was started by one of the current 3rd years around three years ago.
This organization is a way to connect Campbell's Undergrad Pre-health students directly to the graduate programs that Campbell provides. The program provides informative panels, constructive workshops, as well as volunteer and networking opportunities to foster student’s growth, while also connecting them to different careers in the health sciences.
A key part of this organization includes mentors from each graduate program being paired with a mentee or mentees from the undergrad campus that are interested in your professional school. For you, that would be pre-med students that are looking to come to CUSOM. Some things you could be doing as a mentor include answering any question regarding our program, CV development, assisting in finding volunteering opportunities, mock interviews, helping them navigate their classes and maximize their time as an undergrad student.
Your main goal is to serve as an easy point of contact for your mentee to answer questions they may have and provide guidance to them as they navigate the next steps of their academic journey.
We also have mentors and mentees in PA, PT, Clinical Research, MSBS, Public Health, Pharmaceutical sciences, Pharmacy and Nursing.
I am looking for students to serve as DO mentors for the undergraduate students that sign up in the upcoming year. This would be a great opportunity to connect with the upcoming CUSOM applicants!
Please see the below information regarding requirements to apply and fill out the google form if you are interested. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out!
