Subject: Essential OMM: Free Resource and Review Questions for Your Second-Year OMM Course
Dear OMS-II Students,
Welcome to Year Two of Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM)! I want to introduce you to Essential OMM, a free online resource to support your learning throughout the year.
Chapter 16: Myofascial Release and Chapter 17: Balanced Ligamentous Tension directly support the material covered in last week's lecture and this week's quiz. Review questions are available at the end of each chapter. Please use the course materials as study resources, but the review activities in these chapters may be helpful; ignore the techniques listed in each chapter that you have not yet covered.
The resource is entirely optional and free for you. You can access Chapters 16 and 17 here:
https://essentialomm.substack.com/p/chapter-16-myofascial-release
by Kristy Matasavage, DO, CUSOM'23
https://essentialomm.substack.com/p/chapter-17-balanced-ligamentous-tension
by Jacob Ackerman, OMS-3; Thomas Burinda, OMS-3; Claudia Lenhart, OMS-3
When you follow the link and request access, I'll ensure you're added to access the complete set of chapters. Just be sure to use your Campbell email address when requesting access.
Essential OMM is a constantly evolving resource I developed in collaboration with CUSOM faculty editors and student authors. I'll update you weekly with links to relevant chapters and additional tools to guide your preparation for OMM sessions, quizzes, and written exams.
Looking forward to a great year of learning and discovery in OMM!
Warm regards,
Tom Motyka, DO, MHPE, MSc
Associate Professor and Chair of OMM
