Hosseini is a Behavioral Health Intern with the CUSOM Department of Behavioral Health. She is a Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate student at North Carolina State University and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Yoga Studies from
the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Alexis is passionate about creating a warm, supportive, and culturally responsive counseling space where clients feel seen and empowered. Before pursuing counseling, Alexis gained experience in addiction recovery
support, community mental health education, and research focused on adolescent trauma and behavioral challenges. In these roles, Alexis supported individuals facing anxiety, depression, life transitions, trauma-related concerns, and identity development. Grounded
in a humanistic and person-centered foundation, Alexis’ values authenticity, empathy, and honoring each client’s unique lived experience. Her approach integrates wellness, Cognitive-Behavioral modalities, and multicultural awareness to meet clients where they
