[Cusom27] COMLEX Level 2

Good afternoon,

I hope everyone is doing well. I have received quite a few questions about COMLEX Level 2. I am attaching the FAQs that were sent out, in November. Some of your questions may be answered here. However, I will clarify a few questions I have received recently.


  1.  When to schedule COMLEX Level 2? Students can schedule Level 2 at any time. However, if you choose a date that conflicts with an in-person or live virtual session during Residency Development Course (May 25-June 21), you will be required to reschedule your exam. Exceptions will not be made. The schedule for Residency Development Course will be sent out in February.

  2.  When is the earliest I can take COMLEX Level 2? After June 1, 2026, and upon completion of all third-year rotations. You must also score at least a 450 on one of the three CUSOM administered COMSAE 2 exams.

  3.  Can I sit sooner than June 1st? Yes. You must score a 600 on one of the CUSOM administered COMSAE exams or have completed all core rotations (Medicine I, Medicine II, Family Medicine, OBGN, Pediatrics, Psychiatry, and General Surgery) and received a High Pass or Honors and scored at least a 500 on a CUSOM administered COMSAE Phase 2 exam.
