We know how important accurate, transparent information is when making decisions about where to apply. Over the past few weeks, you’ve made us aware of inconsistencies between program websites and the data displayed in the Residency Explorer™ tool<https://click.email.aamc.org/?qs=7369ac44e30f96d7131e7a014ab98d60693ee5a665625c8ff4fcb22f72819235c7f6040dc7befd29634b766b780cce40e786e0dac4500094> — particularly around licensing exam requirements for DO applicants.

We appreciate your feedback and immediately asked residency programs to confirm and update their licensing exam requirements. Thanks to your advocacy and program responsiveness, more than 1,400 programs made updates to ensure their data is current and accurate.

Earlier this week, the Residency Explorer tool was updated to reflect those changes. We remain committed to responding to feedback, addressing discrepancies quickly, and collaborating with programs to keep information up to date. Thanks to your input, you’ve helped us improve the accuracy of the tool for DO applicants everywhere!
