[Cusom27] IMPORTANT Information: QE#1 & Required TrueLearn Questions

Class of 2027,

Just a reminder, QE #1 is THIS FRIDAY promptly at 8:30 a.m. in Levine 202.  It is a 4-hour, 180-question board-style exam via TrueLearn/COMBANK. You will need to make sure to have your login information available prior to the start of the exam.  Please bring your CUSOM laptop, power cord, and earbuds/headphones as there may be a few questions with audio. Normal exam conditions apply.  Randomized seating will be available on the LH 202 doors at approximately 8:00 a.m.  Due to some extenuating circumstances, we have some make-ups for QE# 1 occurring the following week.  After everyone has completed the QE #1 exam, we will release the exam for you to review on your own time, which we strongly encourage you to thoughtfully review to better understand 1) weaker content/discipline areas to strategically focus your prep, and 2) ways to strengthen your test-taking skills (e.g., reading the question correctly, not changing your answer choices to another guess, etc.). The qualifying score for QE #1 is set at a 55.0% (no rounding - 54.5% does not qualify).  If you are interested in reviewing the slides from the ABC's of Board Prep, please find the slides attached again for your convenience.  You can also access these and the recording in the CUSOM Blackboard Organization for your class.

Due to some confusion and wanting you all to focus on your Block 7 courses and succeed, please note the deadline to complete your required set of TrueLearn/COMBANK questions has been extended to March 15-you must have a total of 650 questions completed (since the beginning of this academic year: 2024-2025).  Log into your TrueLearn account to determine how many questions you have completed thus far for this cycle.  (And, no-questions completed from other banks do not qualify-but still great to utilize additional Qbanks such as the Kaplan one already available to you).

For now, focus on the task at hand-finishing Block 7 strongly!  And, just do the best you can on the QE #1 with the preparation you have already accomplished.  Tackle one thing at a time.
