Hello All,

Hope your new year is off to a great start! Duke's Family Medicine Interest Group and collaborators from UNC FMIG, Campbell University, and Duke invites you to our first ever "Beyond Borders: Promoting Health of Migrant Worker, Refugee, and Asylee Patients in our Communities" event on Tuesday January 14th 5:30-6:45 pm EST via Zoom.<https://duke.zoom.us/j/91400068069?pwd=jzy5bx0GxDQbVbXIOqf9QGQGOAb8aQ.1#success>

This event will include an expert panel and interactive cased discussions to learn about how as future health professionals we all have a vital role to play in the promotion of health of these members of our communities. We will define the legal statuses, discuss health disparities, and learn about practical ways to promote the wellbeing of patients who are migrant workers, refugees, or asylees.

This will be especially insightful for those of you who are involved with the CUCCC, as this group of people makes up a large portion of our patient population.
