Subject: Campbell University Hurricane Helene Relief Donation Drive Oct. 2-7

Sent on behalf of the Office of Spiritual Life:

----------------

There are many organizations on the ground serving the nearly one million residents of North Carolina impacted by Hurricane Helene. As a university, we have committed to send aid and support to our neighbors across the state as requested by Baptists on Mission, who are already on the ground in western North Carolina serving meals and providing units for showers and laundry. They will coordinate teams who will assist with flood recovery in the coming days, weeks, and months.

Donation Drive - Oct. 2-7

Campbell University is collecting the items listed below to be sent from our campus, in partnership with Baptists on Mission and with transport provided by Jerry Milton and Southeastern Interiors.

Items collected on campus will include:
*         Unscented laundry pods
* Tall kitchen garbage bags (unscented)
* Paper products (such as paper plates, paper towels and toilet paper)
*         Baby wipes
* Gift cards to Walmart and Food Lion (collected at the Student Union Information Desk only)

Beginning on October 2, collection bins will be available in the Student Union, Wallace Building, Butler Chapel, Lundy-Fetterman Building, Leon Levine Hall, the Alumni House (for alumni drop off only), the Law School, and at the main gates at the football game on October 5. Initial donations and collected items should be dropped off at the indicated locations by close of business on Monday, October 7.

Future collection needs will be communicated in the coming days on our website at https://www.campbell.edu/storm-relief/

Time of Prayer - Oct. 7

There will be a campus-wide time of prayer for those impacted communities at Campus Worship Night on Monday, October 7 at 6:00pm in Butler Chapel. All are welcome.
