Good morning Class of 2027,
Congratulations on making it through Exam 3, reaching the end of Block 4 and completing your first-year medical school coursework!!!
You should have received an email at the beginning of the year through TrueLearn regarding your COMBANK account setup. If you can't find the welcome email, go to this link: https://www.truelearn.net/Index.html and click forgot password. Enter your Campbell student email and follow the process from there. You must have this account operational before the start of the comprehensive exam, on Friday May 24th at 8:00 AM EDT.
Since this exam is administered through the TrueLearn website, we will be proctoring the exam via ZOOM. You must report to the ZOOM room by 7:50 am EDT so you can be accounted for and allowed to proceed with the exam. If you are not present in the ZOOM room you will not be able to take the assessment. The exam will begin promptly at 8:00 am EDT.

During the exam, you must leave your camera on until you have finished and successfully exited the exam. You will be allowed to have scratch paper, pencil/pen, ear plugs, food and drink, and a calculator. You are not allowed to wear headphones, have your cell phone in the room or have other people in the room, etc. If you need to use the restroom, you do not have to announce it, you can just go; however, the exam will end promptly at 12:00 pm EDT (Noon) so please account for your time. If you have any issues during the exam please use the Zoom chat feature to correspond with your proctor. Additionally, the sessions will be recorded through ZOOM as per our usual proctoring policy.
As discussed in the presentation, the exam does carry a minimal requirement of achieving 30% or better to be considered as a "pass". The exam was constructed so that a second-year student reviewing this material as part of board prep would nationally score on average at about 73%. Certainly, while we would anticipate your class will perform slightly below this mark, we hope this eases your minds about being able to achieve a 30%! Again, this should be primarily a review of board relevant material covered throughout the first year. A good portion of the questions for example are related to your Block 4 subjects of Anatomy, Neuro, and Psych which should all be fresh in your minds!
As the board prep presentation also states, the exam is a graded component of the Clinical Applications of Biomedical Sciences I (CABS I) course. Again, just to reiterate the details from the presentation, this is a Block 5 course, but will actually open up on Monday (5/27) so that you can work on it and complete it over the summer. All of the promised items, including the syllabus, appendix, Pharm Card reference documents, and presentation, will be available to you on Blackboard.
We are happy to address any additional questions or concerns before the exam. :)
Kind regards,
Zack
