Hello, MS-2 Students!

We hope you are all having an amazing summer and are looking forward to welcoming you back to CUSOM! 😊

We will have a brief Orientation for your class on Thursday, August 1st starting at 9:15am in Lecture Hall 202.

  *   Please plan on arriving between 8:45am and 9:10am.
  *   **PLEASE NOTE: you will be in your NEW lecture hall – 202 – this year!
  *   Dress code is business casual (no tie required, but no jeans, sweats, scrubs, or tennis shoes, etc.).
  *   Please bring your laptop with you in case it is needed.
  *   We will NOT be providing breakfast for you, so be sure to eat breakfast before you arrive!
  *   Water and snacks will be available throughout the morning.
  *   Following our morning sessions, we will have locker assignments on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th floors for ALL MS-1 and MS-2 students from 12:00 to 1:00pm.
  *   ***PLEASE BRING A KEY OR COMBINATION LOCK WITH YOU ON THURSDAY, 8/1!
  *   You will find a locker during this time and will place your lock on it. There will be locker assignment tables set up on each floor where you will either drop off one of your lock keys with Student Affairs, or will provide staff with your lock combination. For example, if you prefer a locker on the 2nd floor, you will place your lock on an available locker and then find a locker assignment table on the 2nd floor. If you miss this locker assignment day, please check in with Student Affairs (Janice) for an available locker.
  *   Following the locker assignment time, we will provide Panera for your Advisor lunch meetings in the 3rd floor group study rooms at 1:00 pm.
  *   Maps will be posted so you can see which study room your advisor group will be meeting in.

On Friday, August 2nd your CABS exam will begin at 8:30am in LH202. Please plan on arriving by 8:20am.

  *   Following your exam, you are free to go and enjoy the rest of your day!
  *   This year, our student leaders will be organizing an MS-1/MS-2 picnic during the Club Fair in Block 2/6. More details to come later in the Fall!

  *   Please be sure your immunizations are up-to-date in CastleBranch.

Updated Contact Information

  *   Please fill out the following Wufoo survey so we can keep track of your emergency contact information. This information is MANDATORY and needs to be updated each year (even if you didn’t move). We will be following up with each student individually until all have completed this task, so please be sure to complete this survey:

  *   This survey is due on MONDAY, July 29th.

Campbell Emergency Alert System

  *   This sign-up needs to be re-completed EACH year. If you have not already done so, please sign-up with your mobile phone number so you can be alerted about weather delays or any other campus-related emergency.

Little Brother/Little Sister Program

  *   As you remember, you will each be assigned a little brother or little sister in the MS-1 Class of 2028. Now it’s your turn to let them know everything you have learned in the past year! 😉
  *   We will be working on the little brother/little sister list this next week and will send out this information in a separate email.
  *   Feel free to reach out to your “little” to make them feel welcome and answer any questions they may have (you remember what it was like, right)?!

An Orientation schedule is attached for you as well as an updated Advisor list (THERE HAVE BEEN SOME CHANGES SO BE SURE TO CHECK THIS LIST).
