Dear Students,

I hope everyone has had a great summer, beginning of rotations, and beginning of 4th year. In case you do not know me  I am Michael Dennis, a second year DO student. About a year and a half ago I made an organization called the "Campbell Healer Collaborative" that consists of a board that is represented by a student from each of the nine health programs at Campbell University. My organization, in collaboration with IPE, created the EmpowerU Mentoring Program that will serve undergraduate students by placing them with mentors, providing professional development and community service opportunities, and getting them exposed to each of the nine health programs through different activities. Last year was our first year. This year we have made changes and will be involved in the Campbell Street Fair, Creeksync/Engage platform for undergraduates, and much more.

EMPOWER U needs mentors from the DO program that are willing to serve these students and foster a mentor-mentee relationship that will enhance their future applications and professional skills that will serve them when they enter a career in healthcare. For those of you that served previously as a mentor, you will have to apply again as before. Please find attached the eligibility requirements to serve as a mentor.  If you are interested in volunteering and meet the criteria, please register using the hyperlink in the flyer. You must also submit your CV to Danielle Holquist, Coordinator of Interprofessional Education, at dholquist at campbell.edu<mailto:dholquist at campbell.edu>.
