Hello Everyone!



I hope you’re all doing well! I’m reaching out on behalf of Omega Beta Iota National Osteopathic Politic Honor Society. OBI is a great opportunity for anyone interested in political activism and medicine! Most of what we will do as physicians is impacted by what happens in the political sphere. OBI offers an inside look at what a life in advocacy and medicine can look like.



OBI and myself, want to invite you to participate in AACOM Advocacy Day<https://www.aacom.org/advocacy/resources/advocacy-day> on October 17 and 18, 2023! This is a completely virtual experience and a great opportunity to advocate! October 17 will feature congressional representatives and government relations experts providing the federal policy landscape and best practices in advocacy. On October 18, participants will engage directly with congressional representatives to champion our legislative priorities.



We’re hoping for robust participation from current and future members of Omega Beta Iota (OBI)! AACOM will provide advocacy training and participation in Advocacy Day meets one of OBI’s qualification criteria.

Omega Beta Iota is an honor society founded in 2007 to emphasize the importance of the work that medical students do for our political system.
