Subject: Student American Academy of Osteopathy (SAAO): Hollis Wolf Case Presentation

Hello Everyone!
I hope you guys all had a great break and are ready to rock finals! My name is Alec Liederbach, and I am the National Liaison for Student American Academy of Osteopathy (SAAO). I wanted to let you guys know about an experience that anybody who wants to present at the AAO Convocation this March! It is the Hollis Wolf Case Presentation!
The goal of the A. Hollis Wolf (AHW) Case Presentation Competition is to demonstrate the application of osteopathic principles through a case study. Students should discuss the patient diagnosis, associated somatic dysfunction(s) and appropriate treatment(s). Students should demonstrate overall clinical knowledge, including a discussion of how osteopathic care was significant to the patient’s clinical outcome. A key component of the student’s presentation is an explanation of the student’s involvement in decision-making and treatment.
The first deadline is January 14 for presentation draft and then February 14 for presentation final.
This would be an amazing opportunity to present a case you are working on and an incredible way to boost your research CV!
If you are interested, please see the attached document that I have provided with all of the specifics about deadlines, scoring, etc. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns!
Sincerely,
Alec Liederbach, OMS-II
