National American Indian/ Alaskan Native Month is celebrated in November. It is a time to further recognize the contributions made by individuals of those descent  to the  history, culture, and achievements of the United States.



In honor of American Indian/ Alaskan Native Month, the CUSOM Chapter of the Student National Medical Association will showcase pioneers  who have inspired others and made significant contributions in the field of medicine.



We will be spotlighting CUSOM Faculty, staff, and students of American Indian/ Alaskan Native descent to recognize the diverse culture of medicine and the growing promotion of diversity, equity, and inclusion at CUSOM.



If you are a CUSOM student who is an individual of American Indian and/or Alaskan Native  descent and  would like to have a rolling feature spotlight profile during the month of November,  please submit your name, graduation year, a headshot/ a whitecoat picture, and a 2-3 sentence response to “Why I chose medicine” to amwalker0814 at email.campbell.edu<mailto:amwalker0814 at email.campbell.edu> by Monday November 13th, 2023.
