[Cusom27] Native American Celebration on Wednesday

Good morning!



On Wednesday, November 8, 2023, from 10am - 1pm, on main campus, will be the second annual Native American Celebration!



As a member of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee, I would like to invite the CUSOM community to visit this presentation and learn more about our cultures. Also, as a member of the Native American community, I have worked alongside Dr. Al Bryant, with the support of President Creed, to offer this program as an annual event, to take place each November.



There will be a drum and dance exhibition at noon by the Coharie Tribe Drum Group Smokey River. They will perform along with others who will showcase cultural dancing. There will also be tables with more information about the Coharie Tribe and the NC Commission of Indian Affairs. Please see attached flyer for details.
