Subject: Important Safety Information - Action Required

Dear Campbell Community:

The health and safety of our community is of utmost importance. In the event of an emergency, Campbell University will distribute information in multiple ways including the university website, CU Notify text/voice messaging, social media, emergency hotline, and key leaders on our campuses. As the academic year begins, we want to provide three critical updates to you. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!

1. CU Notify text/voice messaging

All community members have been enrolled to receive emergency messages through the CU Notify service. Emergency messages will be delivered to your Campbell email address; however, we strongly encourage you to log in and add your mobile phone number to receive text message notifications. You are also able to include family member cell numbers on your account if desired.

Please note: Even if you have completed registration in the emergency notification system in the past, you must do so again.

       http://www.campbell.edu/emergency

If you have inadvertently opted out, you can log in using your single sign-on credentials to resubscribe to the appropriate alert feeds. If you have any issues with logging in, please email helpdesk at campbell.edu<mailto:helpdesk at campbell.edu>.

2. Emergency Contact information

There is a new function available for students to provide an emergency contact person including a name, relationship, and contact information. This will allow key university leaders to access this data and contact your loved ones in the event you are sick or hurt and unable to contact them on your own. We strongly encourage you to take a few minutes to add this information.

When you complete your contact information, please check emergency contact and missing person contact.

3. COVID-19

The following are our revised protocols for COVID-19:

· Campbell University is no longer requiring students, faculty, and staff to report a positive COVID-19 test.

· Students are encouraged to report to faculty as they would any other illness and follow CDC protocols for quarantine and care. Isolation and Precautions for People with COVID-19<https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/your-health/isolation.html>

· The University will no longer send notifications of student absences due to COVID-19.

If you are sick, you should make an appointment to be seen at the Health Center or with your primary care provider. In addition, wear a mask if you are sick. And as always, sanitize your hands regularly.

With thanks,
