Dear All,

The deadline to submit a poster for the Interprofessional Education Health Sciences Research Symposium is approaching! The Research Symposium will be held in person on Wednesday, April 2nd beginning at 4:30 PM in Tracey F. Smith Hall of Nursing & Health Sciences Poster presentations will take place beginning at 4:30 pm. Judging for awards will take place from 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM. All students, faculty and residents are encouraged to attend this interprofessional education event.

The poster session is open to faculty, residents, and students to present their research.  Students who have already presented posters at the Wiggins Memorial Library Academic Symposium are encouraged to present their research again. This is a great networking opportunity to meet with faculty, residents, and students from other programs, and, to encourage collaboration across programs in research and scholarly activity.

Best poster awards in each category of research will be awarded to student and resident posters. For those presenters who would like to be considered for an award, an electronic version of their poster is due by March 24 for evaluation. The registration deadline for posters not being considered for awards is also March 24.  Upon registering for the IPE Health Sciences Research Symposium, registrants will be asked to select whether or not they wish to be evaluated for an award.

Acceptable Research for Presentation:
*                     Completed research that is unpublished.
*                     In-progress research with some results.
*                     Research that is unpublished but has been previously presented at a professional meeting or prior symposium (i.e., Wiggins Academic Symposium) is acceptable for presentation.
*                     Research that is under review for publication but has not yet been accepted for publication by symposium registration deadline.
*                     Research that has been published is not acceptable for presentation.
*                     Literature reviews or research that has been published are NOT acceptable for presentation.
Please note, you may only present one poster as a primary presenter unless there are multiple presenters to assist with the poster.
Poster Specifications:
*                     The dimensions for your poster must be 36" x 48" (H x W). Please make sure your poster conforms to these dimensions.
*                     You can check the size of your poster in PowerPoint under the "Design" tab by clicking on "Slide Size" and then "Custom".
*                     Templates are available in PowerPoint, please contact your research advisor if you do not already have a poster template.
*                     Please ensure the poster has been reviewed and approved by your research advisor before you submit electronically for award evaluation and/or to be posted to the symposium site.
*                     Please note, if you presented at the Wiggins Academic Symposium, your poster already meets the correct dimensions, and you may use the same poster.
*                     For those submitting electronically for award evaluation, please name the poster as follows: lastname_program (i.e. Smith_DPT). If you are a resident, please also denote that within the name (i.e. Smith_PharmDResident).
