Class of 2026
I would like to officially welcome you to your third year of medical school! I know that everyone is studying for boards but, as you can imagine, there are several things we need from you to ensure you are ready to start. Please complete these items during your study breaks.
1. All students must complete (on their own) a 2-step PPD or QuantiFERON Gold Test prior to starting rotations. This must be turned in to me, your Student Medical Education Coordinator at your site (and also uploaded to Castlebranch when due) no later than July 1st. This is to ensure you meet your regional site requirements as well as other regional site requirements. (If you cannot access the CU Health Center, please try your primary care healthcare provider, local pharmacy or local county health department.) In addition to the updated TB test, you will need to ensure that all immunizations are current. If any items need to be renewed, those are also due by July 1st. Failure to have a 2-step PPD or Quantiferon Gold Test completed and submitted to the parties listed above and all immunizations current, by July 1st, will delay the start of your clinical rotations.
1. All students must complete a random drug screen and criminal background check. This is due no later than June 7th. Failure to have both your updated drug screen and criminal background check, with results received in CastleBranch, by June 7th, will prevent you from completing Simulation Medicine and will delay the start of your clinical rotations.
2. Please use the link below to update your contact information. Make sure to complete the contact form with your address for the upcoming year, not your permanent home address. This information is due by July 1st.

With regards to your drug screens and background checks, I will be sending a separate email shortly with the information you need to complete these.
Please check your email frequently for correspondence from CUSOM and your Regional Site Coordinator as additional items may be requested. If you have any question about these requirements, please let me know.
Thank you,
Allie
