The abstract submission deadline for this meeting has been extended to Monday July 17th at 11:59pm.
This is a great meeting for presenting your work.
(As for time commitment at the meeting-this is essentially a morning time commitment and free lunch.  Student presenters should plan to set up their posters at the beginning of the Saturday, August 12th session, ~8:30 am.  The poster session will be in the morning.  Presenters stay for lunch (free for presenters).  The awards will be presented at the end of lunch.  Presenters are then free to leave.)

Dear rising MS2 students,
I hope you are settling into your summer plans.  If you have been doing research this summer and your project has been particularly productive, consider submitting an abstract for the North Carolina Society of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians (NCS-ACOFP) August (Saturday August 12), meeting in Pinehurst.  This is a great meeting for student  poster presentations (residents, too).  It is typically a small meeting. The posters are reviewed by the clinicians that the meeting-this often includes some CUSOM faculty as well as local and regional physicians.  The presenter does not have to be planning to go into family medicine.  Categories for presentation include: Biomedical/Clinical research, Case reports, Health policy, Medical education and Quality improvement.  This "counts" as a regional meeting.  The posters are judged and prizes are awarded for top posters.
Abstract deadline submission is July 10.   (See details on the attached flyer.)
