The Annual Research, Innovation, and Clinical Vignette (RIV) Abstract and Poster Competition is happening on Monday, October 16, 2023, at the NC Biotech Conference Center in RTP.

The winning abstract will earn automatic acceptance to SHM Converge in San Diego in April 2024, along with a complimentary conference registration. Both SHM members and non-members are invited to submit their work, but only SHM members are eligible for the top prize. If you're not a member yet, feel free to reach out to us for a potential discount code when registering for membership.

Deadline to submit: Friday, September 1, 2023 at 11:59 p.m.
Award for Winners: One overall winner will receive automatic acceptance to the National Scientific Abstract Competition taking place at SHM's annual conference, Converge, April 12-15, 2024 in San Diego, CA. They will also receive a complimentary registration to attend the conference.

Note: In order to earn automatic acceptation to the National Scientific Abstract Competition, the overall winner must submit their abstract into SHM's online web portal prior to the submission deadline. This typically takes place the last week of November for the following year's annual conference. All guidelines for national competition must be followed and can be found on the conference website at http://www.shmconverge.org during the submission period.
