CUSOM Admission Optimization Study – Matriculant Characteristics
Campbell Institutional Review Board (IRB) #788
Dear Osteopathic Medical Student,
You have been asked to participate in a research study as a medical student enrolled in the Campbell University Jerry M. Wallace School of Osteopathic Medicine (CUSOM). This program evaluation study seeks to understand better matriculated medical students' characteristics to guide the selection of prospective applicants to medical school. In addition, this increased understanding may help college administrators develop strategies to help identify the applicant who fits with the institutional mission and vision, thus optimizing the student admission process and improving workforce demographics.
You will be asked to respond to questions regarding student attributes, lifestyle variables, and student perceptions regarding institutional variables that influenced your decision to enter into osteopathic medicine. Data will be reported in summary statistics so that no individual identification will be possible. However, you are encouraged to participate and complete the entirety of the survey.
Completing the Web-based survey should take approximately 15-20 minutes. Participation in the study is voluntary, and responses will be confidential.
Please go to the following URL to complete the Web-based survey:

The survey will close on Monday, February 6th, 2023, at 11:59 PM EST. Thank you very much for your participation!
Sincerely,
Brian A. Kessler, D.O.
Kind regards,
Zack
