Subject: Wilderness Medicine Club Event: Fire Starting Workshop

Fire Starting Workshop with Dr. Hon and the Wilderness Medicine Club this Friday!

CUSOM's Wilderness Medicine Club is hosting Dr. Hon to lead a Fire Starting workshop this Friday, February 10th at 1pm!

Fire can provide warmth, can be used to make water potable or food edible, or can provide light to see or to signal for rescue. In short, in a wilderness medicine setting, fire-making can save lives.

Come join us while we practice hands-on and life-saving skills like building your own fire-starting kit, making char-cloth, treating burns, starting your own fires, and much much more! This event is free and open to all, and attendees will get their own fire starting-kit just for coming!

We will be meeting briefly in LH 201 at 1 pm to discuss burn treatment, before moving outdoors to practice hands-on fire starting skills. If you can't meet at 1, no problem! Come join us whenever you're available, just look for the Pop-up tents in the parking lot where we will be practicing!!

See you there!!
