Family Medicine Club is holding 3 upcoming events this block:

1. Dr. Wong's Family Medicine Q&A
FMIG is hosting Jordan Wong, DO - PGY-3 at Sampson Regional Medical Center Family Medicine Residency and ACOFP Resident Governor. He is coming to discuss all about family medicine and residency on October 25 12-1 PM! Come to learn more about family medicine, ask questions, and enjoy free lunch. Please RSVP on Engage by October 23rd, 11:59 PM.

2. Halloween Service Day
FMIG is collaborating with Pediatrics Club's Boys and Girls service event to collect candy donations (you can drop off candy in the box next to the security desk at CUSOM by Oct 25). Come to create Halloween cards and gift bags for the local Emerald Health Nursing Home residents on Oct 27. Stop by anytime between 12-1:30 PM in Classroom 200. We will also be donating a Halloween Puzzle to the nursing home. If you have any other Halloween/fall gifts (or gifts in general) you would like to donate to the nursing home also please bring it then. We appreciate your acts of service!

Eligible for 1 TOUCH hour if you donate 2 big bags of candy.
Eligible for TOUCH hours for coming and participating at the event.

3. "Hey You're a Doctor! Responding to Emergencies" workshop by Dr. Lambert
In collaboration with Wilderness Medicine Club, FMIG is holding a workshop on 11/9 from 12-1pm by Dr. Robert Lambert from Cabarrus Family Medicine Residency Program. Dr. Lambert is giving a brief introduction of Family Medicine and then an interactive session on what to do if you're the only doctor around in various scenarios!
