rivalry between Celtic and Rangers is the biggest in the world, and
matches are notorious for causing mayhem and murder. Some games cost
over PS1 million and have even caused sectarianism. However, in recent
years, the rivalry has cooled off a bit.

Despite recent problems,
the Old Firm rivalry still has a universal appeal. Although the quality
of the game has fallen over the last few seasons and both teams have
struggled off the field, the rivalry remains one of the best in the
world. This is vital for Scottish football, which needs to get back to
its former glory. Sadly, the days of McCoist and Laudrup are long gone.

Smith's dominance in the 1960s

During
his dominance of the 1960s, Walter Smith's Celtic were unbeatable.
Growing up in the East End of Glasgow, Smith idolised the Rangers
footballers of his halcyon days and dreamed of wearing the light blue
jersey one day. Although he never played for the Rangers, he was
talented enough to turn professional and spent several years with Dundee
United.

Read More : كورة اونلاين

He

United's FA Cup victory over Millwall at Wembley. However, his tenure as
Scotland manager was not without incident. Scotland had slipped from
the top two in the world rankings when Smith was appointed to replace
Bertie Vogts. While he didn't lead Scotland to major tournaments during
his spell, he did lead them to a famous victory over France during Euro
2008 qualifying.

Ibrox clash with riot police in 2005

Rangers
